SOMETHING STRONGER lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley It's something stronger than me It's this thing this feeling It's the pressure, it's building Still, this feeling I can't evade I beg you to let me free Let me be with my body lonesome Let me try to find purity Let me try to find the value that's left in me Don't! You're pushing me (the pressure) Don't! You're pushing me (the pressure) Don't! Your pushing me to give into you! Pressure. Endlessly caving in It's building, It's building Regret the use of this flesh Letting - living - going - being Coming to you - pressure! (pressure) Don't! You're pushing me (the pressure) Don't! You're pushing me (the pressure) Don't! Your pushing me to give into you! Your power is over...

The Gateway 05:09
THE GATEWAY lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley Between this brim and these glasses you might catch a glimpse of my eyes. Its the implications of what that means that scares me, 'cause my eyes are supposed to be the portal to my soul, you wouldn't have to listen anymore, and everything that's ME you'd know, but I'd prefer to remain a mystery, I'd prefer to remain a mystery, I'd prefer to remain a mystery, and maybe some day, I'll leave you an open window! Don't concern yourself with where this poem ends and this song begins! 'Cause my words run synonymous with my groove And if it rhymes that's a product of the fact that linguistics can make you move So I implore you to let your body find the rhythm of this tune! Open up... Between this brim and these glasses you might catch a glimpse of my eyes. The portal to my soul. You wouldn't have to listen anymore and everything that's ME you'd know but, I'd prefer to remain a mystery, I'd prefer to remain a mystery, I'd prefer to remain a mystery, I'd prefer to remain a mystery! And maybe someday, I'll leave you an open window! Oh no, don't concern yourself with where this poem ends and this song begins! 'Cause my words run synonymous with my groove And if it rhymes that's a product of the fact that linguistics can make you move So I implore you to let your body find the rhythm of this tune! Open up, open up...

A NEED TO (DEEPEN) lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley I've got worry, I've got pain I'm not the only one left in this game And I feel it seems quite lonely And I feel I've nothing left to gain It's a struggle to find balance between empathy and self-respect I need to deepen on things that have meaning I've got worry, I've got strength I'm not the only one that remains And I feel I've spent some time searching And I feel there must be a reason for this Finding hope in gesture meant to incite action I need to deepen on things that result with reaction These words between us they mean nothing unless we bring them meaning And in doing so we are responsible for them remaining in tact This is fact Can the seed be planted without coming back? I've got worry, I'm not the same It's a struggle to find balance between empathy and self-respect A need to deepen on things that have meaning Finding hope in gesture meant to incite action I need to deepen on things that result with reaction A need to deepen on things that cause duress A need to deepen on things that may change These words between us, these words Needs nurture, needs water, nurture, water Protect.

PacMan 04:11
PACMAN lyrics © Bitch & Animal (adaptation by, Mojdeh Stoakley) Tonight the city’s like a Pacman board I wanna know how many power pellets ‘til I get to your door All the angled streets, and the blinking lights How many of my steps to your door? How many of my steps to your door? Oh you know who you are Just look out the window, the ghosts aren’t that far There’s smoke brown boy and all the suburbs are watching There’s smoke brown boy and all the suburbs are watching When the world stops I wanna ride with you Your footsteps are approaching my moves I’m on a joyful ride I’m moving on to my next three lives I’m a quarter junkie And I’m thirsty for you! And I’m thirsty for you! And I’m Thirsty for you!

Statement Of 02:36
STATEMENT OF lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley I feel hurt I feel that there's nowhere to escape judgments and norms expectations and form, so I was born, because I make my choices and I let other things dissipate I will continue to move my mind my form forward Anticipation. To deviate. I will continue to take the kink, out of the nappy, and out of the curls! Because no matter what I do, what I choose of comfort, It becomes my, it becomes my, it becomes my, STATEMENT OF!

OF THE PEOPLE lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley Every land has a language That language has a taste Building every sentence savory Salt and lime The cadence makes the flavor rich Every country has a melody that's made of faces. Filling notes, the passages are folk. The folk make the stories that begin with grass and end with war! The folk make our history Our history, our history is torn! The best we can do, make light of history, take pride in our legacy, celebrate each brushstroke of culture! A nation is no more than genre, a country no more than cuisine, all is music, all hearts hunger, and all folk be hopeful of imminent unity!

MUCH LESS DESIRED lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley If the prospect of our morrow is set then our future is written immanent – impending – and subsequent But I'd try to reel in the minutes Pull them back like skin From the outside in - And begin again Starting with acceptance I should admit the past And a new picture would begin Allowing each frame to build on the last This would be my path The trouble is that I’m troubled And that places a hitch in my plan of finding acknowledgment from myself again I remain unsettled which poses problematic Allowing for a much less direct journey to my fate I worry about the possibilities I worry about the unease Because I fear these triggers are reminders that not all things are built for change Some things must be pried open and re-made Hijacked, hacked and distorted So that these glimpses of experience can be re-sorted and filed away Promptly, I’d realize that my potential is somewhat set I can change it – but only a little bit Because it is immanent – impending All of which makes me feel unfit All of which makes me much less desired All of which is subsequent

Am I 05:56
AM I lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley This place of brick and wood no longer my home no longer the place where my dreams are made up Couldn't you have done better Couldn't you have done better ( I don't know, I don't know ) And am I asking too much And am I asking too much And am I asking too much And am I asking too much I can't breathe, I can't breathe anymore I can't breathe, I can't breathe anymore It seems I'm a family of one, livin' in a house of five. On occasion I gain companionship from the man on the other side Not for long 'cause we've only got days left 'til our lives are gonna change, yes, for the worst Couldn't you have done better Couldn't you have done better ( I don't know, I don't know ) And am I asking too much And am I asking too much And am I asking too much And am I asking too much I can't breathe, I can't breathe anymore I can't breathe, I can't breathe anymore Maybe I'm askin' too much. I just need a little security. Maybe I'm askin' too much. I just need a little room to breathe. ( I don't know ) I don't know about you ( I don't know ) I don't know about you Maybe i, maybe I... Maybe I am askin' too much

She 04:04
SHE lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley She didn't want to live that day. Wrote herself a note, put it in her breast pocket, walked around with a knot in her stomach, but she didn't do anything about it. Didn't want to see that day. She closed the shutters, turned off the lights, and sang herself to sleep... WOKE UP! HER HEART BEATING! THROAT BURNED! COULDN'T SPEAK! She stopped up the tub turned the knob and settled in. Around the edges the water brimmed! Eyes closed and all bubbled out. Everything but her oxygen. She lost consciousness again. Came to and refused to relax that day! Pulled herself out of the wetness water puss from each step cotton clinging to her flesh Sodium saturated face she couldn't wait She couldn't So she carefully pulled her declaration, slowly pealed the page. Lines faded from the wet. Text missing. Placed it in the sun. She stayed. She didn't want to... The note, an ink-blurred-mess, it said all, but none would know... She didn't wanna live that day... She didn't wanna live that day... but she did.

HELL HATH NO FURY lyrics © Mojdeh Stoakley What I've got, it grows. Nothing physical could compare to this humiliation. There's no use trying to push through, for what you're looking for. What are you lookin' for? Don't ignore me? Look me in the face! What was treasured is broken. Value un-replaced! But I place you! I know the truth! There's no use trying to push through! Bound your own hands, from returning here! Hell hath no fury like this! Hell hath no fury like this! Hell hath no fury like this! Come on!? And this scorn won't let you in!

Fever 103 04:04
FEVER 103 lyrics © Sylvia Plath (adaptation by, Mojdeh Stoakley) Pure, what does it mean? The tongues of hell are dull, dull as a triple, tongues of dull, fat Cerberus wheezes at the gate, incapable of licking clean! One scarf will catch an anchor in the wheel. Such yellow sullen smokes, they will not rise! Devilish leopard! Radiation turned it white and killed it in an hour! Greasing the bodies of adulterers, like Hiroshima ash and eating in, the sin. Darling, all night I have been flickering, off, on, off, on, The sheets grow heavy as a lecher's kiss. Three days, three nights, lemon-water, chicken-water, water make me wretch! I am too pure for you or anyone! Your body hurts me like the world hurts god! I am a lantern! My head a moon of japanese paper, my gold beaten skin, it's indefinitely delicate, it's, it's, it's indefinitely expensive! Greasing the bodies of adulterers, like Hiroshima ash and eating in, the sin. I am pure as a virgin attended by roses. Greasing the bodies of adulterers, like Hiroshima ash and eating in, (like Hiroshima ash and eating in) the sin. like Hiroshima ash and eating in like Hiroshima ash and eating in like Hiroshima ash and eating in the sin the sin the sin THE SIN THE SIN OH, I AM PURE! It's indefinitely delicately, it's indefinitely expensive It's indefinitely delicately, it's indefinitely expensive like Hiroshima ash and like Hiroshima ash and like Hiroshima ash and like Hiroshima ash and the sin the sin I am pure.
